Here we are again at one of our favourite trade fairs - here at TradeWorld in Stuttgart. Our stand was already well attended on the first day of the fair. But what we notice compared to last year: The world of e-commerce is increasingly moving - especially in the B2B sector.
Digitisation is on the move
Although B2C online trade is not exempt from the boom that has been going on for years, manufacturers and wholesalers in Germany are facing ever greater challenges: They have to think their way into processes that have so far been an issue in the classic consumer business. These include, among other things, operational procurement processes that are increasingly shifting to the online sector. But retail logistics is also increasingly being shaped by digitization: smart data, route management, track-and-trace as well as artificial intelligence and blockchain are becoming topics.
Companies in all industries are striving for ever greater efficiency and ever leaner processes - unthinkable without a digital strategy. Some of them are adapting themselves and their business models accordingly and are thus doing justice to the digital platform age. And then there is the retailer who wants to offer his customers a seamless shopping experience - keywords: omnichannel and fulfillment.
Who adapts best will and remains successful
At every point of contact where the customer comes into contact with the brand or the retailer, every move has to be right. From the first consultation through payment, delivery and after-sales to the return. And that's not without it, because the channels can change from offline to online almost at will. It goes without saying that those who have these processes best under control will prevail on the market.
These and other topics also determined the discussions with the many different dealers and manufacturers at our stand. As a fulfillment service provider, we naturally have a wide range of solutions for all these exciting tasks and are happy to support you with our know-how. And one thing is certain: We are already looking forward to the second day of the fair!
