Stuttgart – 10 February 2026 - Locus Robotics, a global leader in flexible, AI-driven warehouse automation, today announced the successful implementation of its LocusONE™ platform at bergler Industrieservices GmbH. Going forward, the platform will take over the central orchestration and management of 32 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) of the Origin type, continuously improving task allocation, route planning and resource use, enabling efficient, scalable and data-driven picking of electrical installation materials.

bergler Industrieservices, a leading fulfillment provider based in Erlensee, Hesse, faced particular challenges: winning a new customer required expanding warehouse space and building up a new area. From the outset, it was clear that only an innovative automation solution could meet the increased efficiency requirements while also ensuring the flexibility needed for future growth.

The company automated its approximately 3,500 m² new picking area in just three months using Locus Robotics' technology, optimizing its picking processes in the process. The mobile robot fleet deployed is operated under Locus Robotics' highly flexible Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, which enables predictable, usage-based costs and requires no capital expenditure. As a result, order processing today is significantly faster and more accurate.

The LocusONE™ platform was implemented as a greenfield installation, with Locus Robotics providing advisory support to bergler industrieservices as early as the planning phase. The new area was designed from the outset to be optimal for robotic automation, achieving maximum efficiency and seamless integration. The originally planned fleet of 25 robots was expanded by a further seven AMRs within just a few days after a short ramp-up phase, and these are now also permanently in use.

The fast and successful onboarding of staff, together with the smooth rollout within just three months from project start to go-live, underscore the ease of use and efficiency of the Locus solution. At the same time, the use of autonomous mobile robots improves workplace ergonomics, eases the daily workload for staff, and contributes to sustainably better working conditions. Expansions to include put-away processes are already planned for the future, to further advance the automation of the company's own warehouse infrastructure.
