Transport exchanges, also known as freight exchanges or load space exchanges, are digital platforms on which both free load space and available freight are offered. This online service is used by transport companies, logistics service providers and freight forwarders to coordinate supply and demand. How do transport exchanges work?

The platforms serve as an interface for transmitting freight information to other companies in the transport industry. The integration of telematics and transport management systems can further increase efficiency by allowing freight to be adjusted in real time using GPS.
